Getting around Phrae

Bicycles are provided free of charge to use around the Town, we also offer
Motor bike rental, this is a highly recommended option to really explore Phrae and the surrounding
areas.
For short journeys around Phrae, we highly recommend
taking a Samlor, these are a cheap form of transport, and a great way of travelling in the
Town.

Songthaew best know as the baht bus operate in the centre of Phrae and out to
the Towns of Phrae Province. To reach Song District, you should get the red coloured songthaew that are parked
outside piriyalai school on the Yantrakit Kosol road.
Songthaew buses for Den Chai railway station are coloured blue and start from
outside Phrae Vocational College.
Getting to and from Phrae

Den Chai railway station is served by trains operating on the Bangkok - Chiang Mai Northern
Line, and is located 24 km from Phrae.
Our advice coming from
Bangkok is to take train 107 that departs at 20.10 and terminates in Den Chai at 06.15, there is only one 2nd
class sleeper car, so advance booking is required. Please note that if you decide to travel to Den Chai on
the first class sleeper services, you will find no public transport to
Phrae.
For the latest train
timetable please visit the thai railway official site.
